Troy - The best ever war movie

"I loved my boy from the moment he opened his eyes to the moment you closed them... Let me wash his body... Let me say the prayers... Let me place two coins on his eyes"
"If I let you go out or if I let you take him, it is not going to change anything... You are still my enemy in the morning"
"You are still my enemy tonight... But even enemies can show some respect"

I think this one by Eric Bana leaves THE IMPACT -

All my life I have lived by a code; and the code is simple: honour the gods, love your woman and defend your country. Troy is mother to us all. Fight for her!

I love this movie.
my favourite dialogue from the movie is:
"The Gods envy us. They envy us because we're mortal, because any moment might be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we're doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again".

Not sure if you are also referring to modern war movies. If so then 'Saving Pvt. Ryan' by Steven Spillberg is the best war movie ever made. For those who like watching war movies here are my recommendations:
. Saving Pvt. Ryan
. Schindler's List
. The pianist
. Life Is Beautiful

My favourite dialogue from this stupendous saga of Love & war, coming out from the mouth of a formidable Achilles inspiring his valiant men to go for the kill:

"Myrmidons! My brothers of the sword. I'd rather fight beside you than any army of thousands. Let no man forget how menacing we are. We are lions! Do you know what's there, waiting beyond that beach? Immortality! Take it! It's yours!"
